Sketch lightly - pencil doesn't always erase. I've increased the contrast in my photo so you can see the lines. |

A quick first layer gives me a strong dark in the upper left and lower right. That keeps me from getting too dark everywhere.
Just let your brush dance around the painting.
I let this dry completely. |
